Scheduled Water Outage Advisory RESCINDED - Park Ave., Warter St., Miles Branch Rd. and Plum St., Navassa
Based on the findings of the laboratory analysis of water samples collected on 09.02.2025, Brunswick County Public Utilities water users located at:
- Park Avenue (addresses 697-800)
- Miles Branch Road (addresses 1909-1921)
- Plum Street (addresses 502-605)
- Water Street (addresses 503-508)
- Main Street (address 310-310A)
in Navassa are hereby notified that it is no longer necessary to boil water or use bottled water for human consumption. The system has resumed normal operation. Customers have been notified by door hangers.

Scheduled Water Outage - Navassa
Due to scheduled maintenance, Brunswick County water customers in the Park Ave., Warter St., Miles Branch Rd. and Plum St., Navassa will be out of service beginning at 9:00am on 09.02.2025 to allow for a maintenance to be done. Service is expected to be restored before 5:00pm on 09.02.2025. This outage affects the addresses listed below:
- Park Avenue (addresses 697-800)
- Miles Branch Road (addresses 1909-1921)
- Plum Street (addresses 502-605)
- Water Street (addresses 503-508)
- Main Street (address 310-310A)
Consumers will need to store water in containers during this outage, as water service will be temporarily turned off during this time. Please note that three (3) fire hydrants will be out of service during this time. Once water has been restored, Brunswick County Public Utilities and the NC Division of Water Resources advise consumers to boil all water or use bottled water for human consumption until further notice. Consumption includes drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation. Vigorous boiling for one (1) minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water.
Approximately forty-three (43) residential connections will be affected. Customers have been notified by door hangers and ReadyBrunswick. Brunswick County will provide additional information when this advisory is lifted.
