Advisory Rescinded

Based on the findings of the laboratory analysis of water samples collected on 1/24/2024, Brunswick County Public Utilities water users located at even numbered addresses from 1312 to 1338 Harbour Watch SW as well as 1319 Harbour Watch SW in Sunset Beach are hereby notified that it is no longer necessary to boil water or use bottled water for human consumption. The system has resumed normal operation. Affected customers have been notified via door hanger.

Scheduled Water Outage

Update 01.22.2024- Affected addresses have changed, please see below.
Due to a water line repair, the water consumers of Brunswick County Public Utilities located at even numbered addresses from 1312 to 1338 Harbour Watch SW as well as 1319 Harbour Watch SW in Sunset Beach will be out of service on 1/24/2024 from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. A map of the outage area is below. Consumers will need to store water in containers during this outage, as water service will be temporarily turned off during this time.
Once water has been restored, Brunswick County Public Utilities and the NC Division of Water Resources advise consumers to boil all water or use bottled water for human consumption until further notice. Consumption includes drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation. Vigorous boiling for one (1) minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water.
Brunswick County will provide additional information when this advisory is lifted. Affected customers will be notified via door hanger.
