Soil Surveys

Soil surveys are documents created by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) which contains information that can be used in land-planning programs in Brunswick County. It contains predictions of soil behavior for selected land uses. The survey highlights limitations and hazards inherent in the soil, improvements needed to overcome the limitations, and the impact of selected land uses on the environment. The last soil survey to be conducted in Brunswick County was in 1982. Copies of soil surveys are free to the general public. Please contact us if you are interested in a compact disc or copies of this survey.
